Christian is a Co-Founder and VP of Marketing at San Francisco-based NeuraMetrix, Inc. Since January 2020, he is based in Asheville, North Carolina.
NeuraMetrix have invented a novel highly precise software tool for treatment feedback and ongoing monitoring of Neurological diseases and Psychiatric disorders. Installed on a personal computer, it captures typing cadence (the rhythm with which we type on a keyboard) in milliseconds, allowing the detection of subtle changes in cognitive and motor function and calculation of a digital bio-marker.
Christian has extensive marketing, alliances and sales management experience with startups, including Co-Founder/VP Marketing of three software startups, VP/Director Business Development of two software startups including Protegrity and President of one software startup (turn around). He has also served as the Swedish Trade Commissioner to Australia. Christian spent 14 years at Xylem, Inc. (previously known as Flygt AB) in various sales and marketing management roles in the U.S., Sweden and Australia.
He serves as a board member of Silicon Vikings, a tech industry networking organization intersecting Silicon Valley and the Nordic & Baltic countries. Christian is also a member and former Chairman of SACC San Francisco / Silicon Valley.
Christian is born and raised in Helsingborg, Sweden and holds dual citizenship since birth due to his mother being an American citizen. He holds an MBA from Lund University (Sweden) and a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Tycho Brahe Technical College (Sweden).
Keith Hiatt - Breslow Starling Frost Warner Boger Hiatt PLLC
Keith is a certified public accountant and partner with the firm Breslow Starling Frost Warner Boger Hiatt PLLC in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has over 35 years of experience in the areas of corporate and individual taxation, with a special emphasis on tax, estate, retirement and financial planning for individuals and owners of closely held businesses. His experience also includes assisting foreign nationals working in the U.S. and U.S. citizens working overseas. Much of this international experience began with his employment with Deloitte, a large international accounting firm (where he was employed for 11 years).
His experience working with Swedish nationals began in 1981 when he helped the newly formed Volvo White Corporation in Greensboro, N.C. His relationship with many Swedish nationals (and with Volvo Truck Corporation) continues to this day as he assists with various tax and financial planning matters. The range of services provided includes pre-arrival planning, tax return preparation, and departure planning. He values the friendships formed with many of these individuals as he has helped them with a number of taxes, estate, and retirement planning issues.
Keith has a passion for helping individuals and businesses save taxes. He emphasizes the need for tax planning before tax preparation. He assists clients with an "annual financial checkup" as a critical step to stronger financial health.
Keith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant. Keith is involved in the community. He is a graduate of Leadership Greensboro and his Leadership Greensboro study group helped start HealthServe Inc. - an organization devoted to providing health care to the poor and needy.
